Myrtle Beach Vacay!

Here we go....some vacation pictures for your viewing pleasure. ( Can I just tell you how hard this was to NOT post 1000 pictures????)

We had a blast spending the week in Myrtle Beach with my sister Krissy, her husband Enrique, and their baby Desmond....or Lil D, as my kids call him.

This was the view from our condo each morning. Cool umbrella set up, eh?

Little Buddy & the boogie board.

My Girl flying a kite.

The Champ & Bri, hard at work on our sandcastle. You wouldn't believe how long we spent making this thing.

The finished castle! You can't tell from the pictures, but it had about an 8" deep moat around the entire thing!

Lil D chilling on the beach. He LOVED the breeze and took a nap in the shade of the umbrella EVERY day. I swear I don't remember my babies being that easy!

Hanging out in the condo.

Isn't he the sweetest???

We spent one day at the new Hard Rock Park. It was fun, but OVERPRICED for what you got for the money....and we even had a coupon which saved us $50! The rides were good, but the shows and characters walking around were somewhat inappropriate for kids, teens, & even me! We most likely would not go back....as Brian said, "It ain't Disney."

Funny sign!

Of course Charlie ran right over to grab one and start jamming!

How much fun can you have with nerf balls????

These aren't the greatest pictures, but this was definitely the highlight of the day at Hard Rock Park. We went back to it twice!!!! It was a bunch of airguns upstairs that shot nerf balls down onto the victims on the lower level. There were all kinds of cool cannons and blasters, and things on the lower level too.

I don't know who had more fun, Brian or the kids. At one point, Brian was in a full blown battle against the entire place....teenagers, kids, parents....it didn't matter....no one was safe.
Do you see the serious look on his face??

He also liked to go down to the lower level, to be the target....I swear he's crazy.

I was sitting on a bench with all of our "stuff" when I heard a group of teenagers laughing as they were leaving and talking about that "dude in the blue shirt.....he was crazy.....he tore us up...he was hilarious....etc"

My kids want to know if we can make a ball shooting room out of our basement???

Did I tell you how much fun I had loving on this little guy????
He was the BEST!

Of course, no trip to the beach is complete without the "photo op"....ah yes, never a highlight for the kids, but I love it.

Don't you just love this picture??? (I know I already put it at the top....I just had to post it again!)

Thanks for coming with us guys! We love ya!

Walks on the beach and beautiful sunsets....it was a great time.

One of my kids favorite things to do there was this place called MagiQuest. When you enter they give you a wand (like Harry Potter) and you pay for a certain amount of time. While you're inside you try to find items that you're given clues about. When you find one, you wave your wand at it and the memory inside captures it. You need a certain amount of items to complete each task in the quest, before you can proceed. I don't have any pictures...but it was A LOT of fun....I highly recommend it. We went back twice!

Cool fireworks ended our last night there....it was the 4th of July. What a great week!

Hey Kath! Great pics! I LOVE the color scheme of the family pics.

I looked into the Hard Rock thing for when we are down there, but it didn't seem worth it. So glad you mentioned it!! Now we'l stay clear. Maybe Myrtle Waves is in our future.....

Can't wait to see you!

Looks like you had a great time! I love the photos of the kids! How did you get them to pose for so many photos?

Hey Amy, I started em young.

We take pictures almost every year. They are used to it. The whole thing only took about 15 minutes.

Love the pictures! We go to Myrtle at the end of August with our friends and I can't wait! We always have to have the photo op too. Of course my kids aren't quite as corporative as yours...maybe in 10 years. I've learned that if you just take about 200 pictures you are bound to get one or two that are decent! Brian with the moat around the sandcastle and the nerf gun remind me so much of my Dad. I guess it's in the genes! When we went camping once a long time ago my Dad and Randy dug a trench around our tents to keep the rain out...it didn't really work...

Yep Jennie...it must be the genes! He was totally into the sand castle and the moat,....it took HOURS to complete. It's too bad, because the pictures really don't do it justice...it was much cooler in real life.
