We've had an exciting weekend here....it POURED down rain on Sat and both boys still played their football games.  Charlie's team basically played in a mud pit and loved it!! They had so much fun.  In the midst of the game, he ended up breaking his thumb during a tackle.

I took him to Urgent Care where they X-rayed him and said it was broken.  Today I took him to follow up with the Orthopedic Surgeon and to get his cast.  Believe it or not, this is the FIRST cast for any of my kids.

Here he is in all his glory....

Surprisingly, he is still allowed to play football.  He will just have to wrap the cast in foam. He won't be able to write because he's right handed.  Hmmmmm...he can still play football but he can't do his school work.  Sounds like a boy's dream come true!!!

Ouch! My brother and I never broke a bone but I soooo wanted to get a cool cast so that everyone would sign. LOL When you're young...;)

Funny how he can't work but can still play. Man, that is a young's boy dream! :P

Oh my goodness, I would have been freaking out! I always cringe when I go to my nephew's games because they look so rough. I'll bet he feels like a rock star with that cast, though!

I so cannot relate to this. There is a lot of girly going on at my house. But playing football in a mud pit has to be a dream come true for someone. How long will he be in the cast?

And I love your question about putting me on your blog roll. So, has anyone ever said, "nope. I'd rather you didn't read me anymore?" ;-) (I'd be honored. Truly. I just can't help myself with the snarky comments. As they say, just love me through it...)

That would be a boy's dream come true... The cast makes him look tough! I bet all the boys on the team are jealous! :) I hope it gets better soon. I love the pictures!

I just stopped in to say Thank You for stopping by for the BATW tour the other day. I really enjoyed having so many visitors.
